Our School

Brookland Junior School is a non-denominational community junior school for girls and boys between the ages of 7 and 11, maintained by the London Borough of Barnet. We are situated on the northern edge of Hampstead Garden Suburb in a residential area. Most pupils attend Brookland Infant School on the same site. The two schools have strong links to ensure that our children’s emotional, social and educational development progresses smoothly from 4-11. We have four year groups, with 3 classes of 30 in each year.

The children benefit from a spacious, green setting which is screened from houses and roads. There is a large field and two playgrounds. We have excellent facilities and a new covered heated swimming pool.

Brookland Junior School & Swim Tank Collaboration:

Pool Renovation Success!

Brookland Junior School are delighted to announce the successful restoration of our swimming pool facilities in close collaboration with Swim Tank. After years of the pool becoming increasingly tired and in need of repairs, we now have a wonderful, modern facility that provides our students with the opportunity to swim year-round, offering vital water safety skills and fostering a love for swimming.

This renovation not only benefits our school children but also the wider community. The pool will be available for outside use, offering local schools, groups and families the chance to enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities. We believe this new addition will become a cornerstone of both school life and community engagement in North London.

A heartfelt thank you to Swim Tank for their expertise, dedication, and passion throughout this project. We are excited to see our students and community members enjoying this fantastic new space.

Children achieve and progress very well and benefit from and enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities, enhanced by a variety of exciting events, activities and clubs. We have the advantage of children who share traditions from many cultures and countries.  We value and celebrate our similarities and differences. Brookland is a very caring community where each individual is respected and valued.
